Crafts and Cocktails: Kumihimo Braiding at Zephyr
In this special edition of our Kumihimo Braiding workshop we'll be at Zephyr. Zephyr is a longstanding Huddersfield favourite serving amazing cocktails, craft beers and ciders and lots more in a stunning art deco building.
This session we'll be learning Kumihimo Braiding, it's a really addictive craft that's like a Japanese version French Knitting for grown ups. It creates professional looking braided bracelets that you can add a variety of different charms to. There will be a wide range of different colours and kinds of thread to braid with and you should leave the workshop with at least one finished bracelet.
I'd suggest having a look at this Pinterest board for inspiration, if you've got an image you'd like to work off bring it along:
Zephyr is in a great location with lots of free street parking and nearby train and bus stations.
Zephyr is a wheelchair accessible venue but doesn't have accessible toilets. The space we'll probably be using isn't wheelchair accessible, but there is lots of accessible space that we could set up in, so if you'll need this let me know and I'll get it sorted!
There's lots of free street parking nearby however I would recommend arriving a bit earlier as sometimes the parking immediately nearby is scarce. The train and bus station are also very nearby.
The workshop needs minimum numbers to run. In the unlikely event it doesn't meet this the workshop will be cancelled. Your booking is secured by payment and if you choose to cancel you get a refund up to 2 days before the event however after that no refund can be given.
